BIG NEWS About Computers for Games! – By Jerome Skinly!

Hi everybody! Jerome here! I got to write about computers for games! It’s super exciting! Grown-ups are talking a lot about it, so I listened really hard!

New Cards for Your Computer!

AMD is making a new card! It’s called the RX 9060 XT! They are gonna show it to everyone on May 21st! Some people think it looks a little bit… funny? Like maybe not the prettiest, but still good!

And Nvidia, they are making another card too! It’s for computers that do super smart things with pictures! They call it H20.

You can get a whole computer with a really good card, an RTX 5070, for about $1500! That’s a lot of money!

Uh Oh! Scary Stuff!

But… there’s some scary stuff too! Grown-ups say that bad guys can get into your computer inside the part that makes it work! It’s called the CPU! They can do bad things like put on a computer virus called Ransomware! That’s not good! We need to keep our computers safe!

Also, one company, ASRock, made a thing for your computer called a motherboard. But it made a grown-up’s fancy computer part, a Ryzen 9 9950X, break! Uh oh!

New Stuff Coming!

Some new motherboards are getting smart too! They have things for computers to do really smart stuff with pictures! They're 'AI-ready'!

Cool Extras!

There are good deals on headphones for games! You can get them for about $60! And there’s a super big monitor, like a TV, for games! It’s 32 inches and it costs between $700 and $820! Wowzers!

And get this! There are headphones that make it sound like it’s raining! They have little bowls of water! That’s so weird and cool!

Old Games Can Be New!

Grown-ups are making old games work on computers now! They are taking apart a game called Mario Party 4! That means maybe we can play it on our computers someday!

Important!

YouTube is saying “No!” to computers making movie trailers using the smart computer helpers! Those accounts are gone!

And one company made a mistake and sold something called a Lifetime Subscription. Now, they can’t do that anymore!
