WORLD IS CRAZY! LOTS OF MAD PEOPLE!

Hi! I'm Jerome and I'm seven! My mom reads the news and sometimes I listen. There's LOTS going on! It's kinda scary but also interesting.

First, there's this place called Gaza. It's really far away. People there don’t have enough food! My mom says lots of kids are getting really, really skinny because they don’t have enough to eat. That’s super sad! Some leaders are meeting in a place called Qatar to try and fix it. I hope they do!

Then there’s a man named Putin. He's a leader of a country and he's going to meetings and people are being nice to him. My mom said that's weird because… well, she said a lot of stuff about Russia and Ukraine. It's complicated.

And get this! There’s a man named Maduro and he’s from Venezuela. He said if the US starts a fight with them, they will fight back! That sounds REALLY scary. The US has lots of boats and stuff near Venezuela now.

In Brazil, a man who used to be the president is in trouble. He didn't even go to court because he said he was sick. They said he tried to take over the government! That’s like when I pretend to be king of my bedroom, but REALLY bad.

There's also a mystery about a little girl named Madeleine McCann who went missing a long, long time ago. A man they think might know something won't talk to the police! That's not very nice.

And TikTok! You know TikTok, right? With all the dances? The US might make them sell it to someone else or they’ll stop people from using it! My sister loves TikTok. She’d be SO mad!

A man who used to tell stories on the radio to people in North Korea died. That's sad. And a boxer named Ricky Hatton died too. My dad likes boxing.

In Nepal, they had to pick a new person to be in charge, and it was kinda messy. And in Portugal, a little train thing crashed! They’re thinking about why it happened.

And finally, people were yelling at a bike race in Spain! That sounds silly.

So yeah, lots and lots is happening. I think I need a nap now. It's a BIG world!
