CROW STOLE MY SHOELACE! He Wants Cookies!

Crows! They’re Doing Something! (Maybe Stealing Snacks?)

Crows! You see them! Black and shiny! They sit on wires! Sometimes they make loud noises! They are very… crow-like.

I’m watching a crow right now! He’s looking at my cookie! It’s a really good cookie! Chocolate chip! My mama made it! The crow is thinking about the cookie, I just know it! He’s tilting his head! Like he’s solving a big problem! Is the cookie too far? Is the wire too wobbly?

My grandpa says crows are smart. He says they can use sticks to get bugs out of holes! That's very clever! I tried to use a stick to get a cookie crumb once, but it didn’t work. My mama said I was being silly.

This crow just hopped closer! He’s looking right at me! He’s got a sparkly thing in his beak! It looks like a… a shiny button! Maybe he traded it for a french fry! Crows like fries, I heard.

I tried to talk to the crow. I said, “Hello, Mr. Crow! Want a bite of my cookie?” He just looked at me! Then he flew away! He took my shoelace! He’s using it to build a nest! A nest for his shiny button collection, I bet!

Crows are mysterious! They're doing secret crow things! They’re probably planning something! Maybe they've learned to open cookie jars! Maybe they are the kings of the birds! Maybe… maybe they want all the cookies!

We need to watch the crows! We need to figure out what they’ve got planned! And maybe… maybe we should give them some cookies. Just in case.
