A Damp Day in Grand Rapids
Well, folks, it’s definitely a wet one out there today. If you were hoping to enjoy a Saturday strolling around Grand Rapids, you might want to grab an umbrella – and maybe a slightly warmer jacket, too.
The rain started early this morning, and it doesn’t look like it’s letting up anytime soon. According to the National Weather Service, it’s currently a light rain with the temperature sitting around 39 degrees. Feels a bit chilly, honestly. The humidity is really high, at 96%, so everything just feels damp.
WZZM13 is reporting a 93% chance of precipitation throughout the day, and they say we can expect the rain to continue. They’re also warning us to prepare for a bit of a twist – some snow is expected on Easter Sunday! That's…unexpected. I guess spring in Michigan is always a little unpredictable.
The wind is coming from the east southeast at around 18 miles per hour, which makes it feel even colder when you step outside. Weather.com says the high for today is only going to be 59 degrees, with a low of 47.
So, yeah. Rainy and cool. Maybe a good day to curl up with a good book, or maybe just… stay inside. Everyone stay safe and dry out there!
