Hold the Mayo! It’s a Whirlwind of Weirdness This Week! - By Bronbus Quitley

Good morning, Jape News viewers! Bronbus Quitley here, and boy oh boy, is it a week. My Aunt Mildred – she raises prize-winning pigeons, did you know pigeons can recognize human faces? Remarkable! Anyway, Aunt Mildred says a busy calendar is a sign of a thriving universe, and let me tell you, the universe is thriving.

We're barreling headfirst into a whole heap of holidays, observances, and frankly, just plain odd days! Let’s dive right in, shall we?

It all kicks off this Wednesday, April 1st, with that rascal, April Fool’s Day! Now, I once convinced Old Man Hemlock he’d won a lifetime supply of cheese puffs. He was thrilled, until he discovered I’d simply taped a picture of cheese puffs to his door. Classic Quitley! But seriously, watch out for pranks, folks. And also on Wednesday, we've got "Take Down Tobacco National Day of Action." A noble cause! Did you know tobacco was once used as currency? True story! Also, apparently, it's American Crossword Puzzle week, and International Transgender Day of Visibility. Very important. I attempted a crossword once. Nearly broke my pencil.

Thursday, April 2nd is a culinary bonanza! It’s National Burrito Day and National Peanut Butter and Jelly Day. Imagine a PB&J inside a burrito. Revolutionary! I’m patenting that. Also, Maundy Thursday, and World Autism Awareness Day. And get this - it’s also National Bunsen Burner Day! Which reminds me of the time I tried to build a volcano for the science fair… let’s just say the fire department was involved.

Friday, April 3rd is a bit somber with Good Friday, but don’t let that get you down! It’s also World Party Day! You know, back in the day, parties involved actual monarchs and juggling. Maybe we should bring that back? I’ve got a unicycle.

And finally, brace yourselves, because Saturday, April 4th is National Picky Eaters Day. Oh, the irony! My parrot, Percy, is the pickiest eater I know. He only accepts organic sunflower seeds imported from… well, somewhere fancy.

But hold on, we’re not done! Somewhere in this delightful chaos, there’s also Anesthesia Tech Day, César Chávez Day (a true hero!), Crayola Crayon Day – I still have a box of 64 from when I was seven! – Dance Marathon Day, Eiffel Tower Day (apparently someone dedicated a day to a tower?), Hug a Medievalist Day, Mahavir Jayanti, National Après Day (sounds like a sneeze!), National Clams on the Half Shell Day (a bit messy, if you ask me), National Farm Workers Day, National She's Funny That Way Day, National Tater Day (potatoes are amazing!), Prom Day, Terri's Day (who’s Terri?), Transfer Day, and World Backup Day!

Seriously, folks, write it down! You'll need a calendar the size of a small car to keep track.

That’s all for now, folks! Stay goofy, stay informed, and remember to always double-check if that “lifetime supply of cheese puffs” is real!
