Just a Heads Up About the Weather, Everyone

A Bit of a Blustery Day, Folks

Good morning, everyone. Leo Parks here with a quick check on the weather. It’s… well, it’s definitely a day to be prepared, especially if you’re in the Midwest.

Here in Chicago, we’re looking at thunderstorms and some pretty strong winds. The Weather Channel – and they really know their stuff, apparently being named the most accurate forecaster for the last few years – is showing 100% coverage, so pretty much the whole city is getting it. Winds are up to 20 miles per hour, and it’s fairly humid at 67%. The UV index is a 4, so maybe don't spend too long outside if you can avoid it, just to be safe. Sunrise was at 6:43 this morning, and we’ve got until 7:09 tonight before sunset.

I checked quickly, and it sounds like Grand Rapids is getting some interesting weather too, though I don’t have the specific details right now. They have all sorts of information available online, if you’re curious.

It's good to know the forecast is reliable, though. It's always nice when you can trust the people telling you about the weather, you know?

On a brighter note, they’re saying we might be in for a spectacular wildflower superbloom in California next year, 2026, and there are some changes coming to our National Parks as well. It's nice to think about things like that when the weather’s a little… intense.

Anyway, stay safe out there, everyone! Maybe a good day to curl up with a book, if you can.
