A Damp Day for West Michigan

Good morning, folks, Leo Parks here with a quick weather update. Well, it’s looking a bit…wet out there. And it’s not just a little drizzle, either.

Here in Heartside and extending out towards Caledonia, we’re looking at a cloudy day with rain this morning, and then things could get a little…showery this afternoon. Scattered thunderstorms are predicted, so maybe hold off on those outdoor plans, just to be safe.

The high today is expected to be around 59 degrees, which honestly isn’t terrible, but with the east-southeast wind blowing at 10 to 20 miles per hour, it's going to feel a lot cooler. And with a 93% chance of precipitation…well, bring an umbrella. Definitely bring an umbrella. Or a raincoat. Or maybe just stay inside with a nice cup of something warm. That sounds good, actually.

The folks at The Weather Channel seem pretty confident about this forecast, too. Apparently, they’ve been named the most accurate forecaster out there by something called ForecastWatch, based on a few years of data. So, you know, they probably know what they’re talking about.

Just…stay safe out there, okay? And maybe be nice to the weather. You never know.
