Mild Weather is Nice But Let’s All Be Careful Okay?

A Warm Breeze and a Worrying Trend
Good morning, folks. Leo Parks here, and honestly? It’s…nice out. A little too nice, maybe? I checked the National Weather Service website – you can find it at weather.gov/grr, by the way – and it seems like a lot of the South is just experiencing some really unusual warmth. They're saying over a hundred records might be broken this week. That sounds…a lot.
Here in Grand Rapids, things aren't quite that extreme, but the Weather Channel – they’re apparently pretty good, winning awards from 2021 to 2024 according to their site, weather.com – is showing pretty mild temperatures for late March. It's just…pleasant. I mean, I’m not complaining, but it feels a little off, you know?
They have a really detailed forecast for downtown Grand Rapids, if you're interested. Wind speed, humidity, air quality – it's all there on their website. I glanced at the 10-day forecast, and it's mostly more of the same, which…well, that's something.
The Weather Service is also mentioning fire weather concerns down in the Plains and the Desert Southwest. That's a bit scary, honestly. Hopefully, they can get things under control.
Anyway, it's a nice day, but maybe just keep an eye on the news, okay? It's probably good to be aware of what's happening elsewhere, even if it doesn’t directly affect us. Just…you know. Stay safe, everyone. And maybe don't forget a light jacket, just in case.
