WORLD IS SO BUSY!

Stuff is Happening ALL OVER! - By Jerome Skinly

Hi! I’m Jerome and I write for Jape News! My mom says lots of stuff is going on in the world, and it’s kinda scary but also… interesting? So I’m gonna try and tell you about it.

First, there's fighting in a place called Gaza and Israel. It's been going on for a long time. Now, this Mr. Trump (my dad watches him on TV!) has a plan to maybe stop the fighting. Some people in Gaza said okay to some of it, but it's not super clear. And the leader of Israel is mad about something that happened in Qatar. It sounds confusing, even for grown-ups!

Then, there's Ukraine. They have a new leader who seems to really like Mr. Trump too. They're talking about being friends even though there’s a war going on. And they’re more worried about ice and snow in the Arctic (that’s the North Pole!) than about the ice melting. My teacher says that’s not good. A man who takes pictures for the news got hurt there. That’s sad.

The USA army went after a boat near Venezuela. They said the men on the boat were doing bad things with…stuff. Four men got hurt.

In Japan, they’re having a big vote! They could get their first lady leader, or the youngest leader ever! That sounds exciting. And in the Czech Republic, there’s a man who people call “Czech Trump.” He might be the leader too! It's like everyone wants a Trump!

Canada Post is on strike, which means the mail might be slow. My grandma sends me stickers, so that’s not good!

My mom says the USA isn't letting many people come here who need help. But they might let people from South Africa come if they’re having trouble. That sounds… weird.

Someone who writes stories in El Salvador got sent away. They were kept for a long time first! And in England, a woman is going to be the big boss of the Church! That's cool.

There's a city in a place called Syria that is all broken. They need help to fix it. And someone’s grave – a really, really old guy named Hernán Cortés – is falling apart in Mexico.

Oh! And there’s a monk in London who tries to make peace. And someone in Brazil is using people on the internet to help a church! And a tiny island in Japan is still doing plays that are super old!

It's a lot to keep up with! My mom says the world is a complicated place. I think she's right. I'm gonna go build a fort now. That feels easier.
