Hi! I'm Jerome and I'm seven! My mom says I gotta write about fun things to do with your kids. Like, if you have kids. Which is cool!

So, there's this place called Frederik Meijer Gardens. It's REALLY big and has flowers and stuff. And BUTTERFLIES! They have butterflies until the end of April. That's soon! You can see them fly around and it's pretty. They also have a garden just for kids! It's called the Lena Meijer Children's Garden. I like gardens.

Then there's John Ball Zoo! They have SO many animals. Like, over 2,000! They have a baby hippo named Hugo. He's kinda small still, my mom said. And there's a penguin named Phil! He's famous! My mom showed me a picture on the computer. He's the most popular penguin in the WORLD. That's a lot!

You can also go to the Grand Rapids Children’s Museum. You get to TOUCH stuff and play with it. That's way better than just looking.

If it's nice out, you can go on a hike! There are a LOT of trails. Or you can go to the beach! Lake Michigan is big. You can splash in the water. We went last summer!

If it's rainy, you can go bowling! Or jump on trampolines! That's super fun. You can even try to escape from a room! It's like a puzzle.

There's a lantern festival coming up! It starts April 8th and goes for a long time. And ArtPrize too, but that's way later, in September.

You can also just go to the park. Or read books at the library. Or go shopping if your mom or dad wants to.
