Just a Little Cool—Please Be Careful Out There

A Chilly Day in Grand Rapids – And a Reminder to Be Careful
Good afternoon, folks. Leo Parks here, with a quick check-in on the weather. It’s… well, it’s definitely cooler out there today. The temperature is currently around 50 degrees, but it feels like 46, and honestly, I think it feels even a little colder than that! I definitely put on an extra layer this morning.
The wind is coming from the West-Northwest at about 10 miles per hour, which doesn’t help. It’s not exactly raining or anything, thankfully, but the humidity is up around 54%, so it’s just… damp.
The good news, according to WZZM 13, is that we’re expecting mostly dry conditions through Thursday. That’s a relief. But, and this is important, 42 Michigan counties are currently under a red flag warning for fire risk. So, please, everyone be extra careful with anything that could spark a fire. No open flames, be mindful of discarding cigarettes, and just generally be aware of your surroundings.
The Weather Channel says they’re the most accurate weather people around, having earned that title from 2021 to 2024 according to ForecastWatch. So, they probably know what they’re talking about when they say it's going to stay cool.
All in all, it's just a chilly day. Stay warm, stay safe, and maybe brew a nice cup of tea. That's what I'm planning to do!
