Rainy Day—Maybe Stay Inside If You Don’t Mind?

A Rather Damp Day in Grand Rapids
Well, folks, it’s…wet out there. Really wet. I just came back inside, and honestly, my glasses are still a little foggy. If you were hoping to enjoy a nice spring day in Grand Rapids today, you might want to reconsider those plans.
The sky is pretty gray, and it’s been raining steadily since, well, pretty much when I woke up. The Weather Channel is saying it’s going to get worse too, transitioning into thunderstorms this afternoon. Thunderstorms! I always get a little nervous during thunderstorms, to be honest.
They’re saying there’s a 100% chance of rain, which…seems accurate. I checked the conditions at the airport, and it’s light rain there too, and breezy. Apparently, we can expect strong winds, up to 40 miles per hour at times. That's…a lot of wind.
The temperature is okay, I guess. It’s currently around 64°F, and should reach a high of 67°F. But it’s going to drop down to 36°F tonight, so definitely bundle up if you have to be out. The National Weather Service says there's a 70% chance of showers and thunderstorms sticking around even late tonight.
So, yeah. Stay safe out there, everyone. Maybe grab a good book, make some hot cocoa, and just…wait it out. Honestly, that sounds pretty good to me. I think I’ll go do just that.
