Weekend Looks… Kind of Wet, I Guess?

A Bit of a Damp Start to the Weekend, Grand Rapids
Good morning, Grand Rapids! It's… well, it's a bit blustery out there this morning. I just stepped outside to grab a coffee and, wow, the wind is really whipping. They’re saying it’s coming from the southwest at around 16 miles per hour, with gusts up to 25 – definitely a hair-raising experience just walking to the corner!
There’s also a thunderstorm rolling through right now with some light rain. It’s not too bad, honestly, just a steady drizzle mixed with the occasional rumble. It's 60 degrees out, which doesn’t feel too cold, but the humidity is pretty high, so it feels a little damp.
The forecast for the rest of the day isn’t exactly sunshine and rainbows, unfortunately. We're looking at mostly cloudy skies with a high near 56 degrees. There’s a 30% chance of some more showers later on, but things are really supposed to pick up tonight.
They’re predicting a 100% chance of showers and thunderstorms before 2 AM. Seriously, 100%. Then, even after that, they’re saying showers are likely, and there's even a possibility of another thunderstorm between 2 and 4 AM. So, uh, maybe don't plan on leaving your windows open tonight?
It's a bit of a soggy start to the weekend, but hopefully, things will clear up soon. Just… maybe keep an umbrella handy, and definitely hold onto your hats! Stay safe out there, everyone.
