A Bit of Everything, Really

Grand Rapids is… well, it’s experiencing a little bit of everything today. Honestly, it’s a bit much, if I’m being honest with you. I just wanted to walk to get a coffee, but you kind of have to pick your poison, you know?

The National Weather Service is saying we’ve got late-season winter storms hitting the Upper Midwest and Great Lakes, and it definitely feels like it. I saw some sleet earlier, and it’s been switching back and forth between rain and, uh, not-rain. It’s hard to describe. Sort of icy rain?

They’re also saying there’s severe thunderstorms happening further south, and that could mean more freezing rain for us up here in northern New England. Not ideal. I checked weather.com—apparently, they’re really good at predicting this stuff, winning awards from 2021 to 2024 or something—and it looks like it’s just going to keep… being unpredictable for a while.

I just really hope it clears up soon. I mean, spring is supposed to be here, right? It just feels a little confused. I’m mostly just trying not to slip on the sidewalk, to be perfectly honest. And definitely not wanting to offend the weather by complaining too much. You never know, do you?
