WAR KANGAROOS AND MY HEAD HURTS!

Hi! I’m Jerome and I write for Jape News! Today I learned a LOT about what’s going on in the world. It’s kinda scary, but also…interesting?

First, there’s a war in Ukraine. My teacher said wars are bad. Russia is fighting and even after the fighting stops, the police and soldiers will stay in a place called Donbas. That sounds…long. And the good guys – I think they’re the good guys – are keeping Russia’s money! They froze it so Russia can’t use it to keep fighting. That’s like when Mom hides my toys when I’m being naughty.

Then, in Australia – that’s a place with kangaroos! – a man jumped out of a plane! But his parachute got stuck! He was WAY up high, like, 15,000 feet! That’s super, super high. He was dangling! I hope he’s okay! He must have been really scared.

And that’s not all! There’s stuff happening in China, and places in South America, and even Africa! And Europe too! It’s like the whole world is busy! They have news about…everything! Like what people in charge are doing (that’s politics!), and people playing games (sports!), and funny movies (entertainment!). They even have news about…science! Like, learning stuff!

My head kinda hurts now. The world is a big place and lots of things are happening. I think I need a nap. But it’s good to know what’s going on, even if it’s a little bit scary.
