Looks Like We Might Need Sweaters, Everyone?

A Bit of a Chill in the Air, Folks
Hi everyone, Leo Parks here. Well, it’s been… a day for layers, that’s for sure! I just got back from a walk through Ken-O-Sha Park, and while it wasn’t terrible, it definitely wasn’t beach weather.
The National Weather Service is saying things are a little unsettled across the eastern part of the country. Seems like a lot of showers and thunderstorms are brewing out there. They’re also saying things are going to cool down a bit as we head into Sunday and early next week, which… yeah, that tracks with what I felt today!
Here in Grand Rapids, it was actually kinda nice earlier. Partly cloudy, a little sun peeking through. Temperatures were around 40 or 42, which, okay, not exactly warm, but manageable. But things shifted a little later this afternoon. It got pretty cloudy, and FOX 17 is predicting a chance of showers tonight. And it’s gonna get colder – down to around 38 or 39 degrees. Brrr!
They’re saying Monday might bring more of the same, a good chance of showers, especially in the morning, and temperatures staying pretty chilly, in the 30s and 40s.
Honestly, I think everyone should probably just be prepared for a bit of a damp, cool start to the week. Maybe grab an extra sweater, and definitely check the forecast before you head out. You know, just to be safe. I wouldn’t want anyone to get caught in the rain without a jacket!
And, uh, Florida and Hawaii – stay safe out there too, with the rain and rip currents! It's good to be prepared, wherever you are.
