A Bit of Everything Today, Folks
By Leo Parks
Well, good morning, Grand Rapids! It’s… certainly a day, isn’t it? I stepped outside this morning and, honestly, I wasn’t quite sure what season it was. It’s chilly, to say the least. The weather service is saying it’s 39 degrees out there right now, but with the wind – and oh boy, is it windy, around 18 miles per hour, gusting even higher – it feels a lot colder. They’re calling the wind chill 30 degrees. Brrr.
It’s pretty gray out too, completely overcast. Visibility is good, thankfully, but you can just feel that dampness in the air.
The forecast is… complicated. We might see some rain showers before 7am, then they're predicting a chance of snow showers later today. Snow! In April! It’s supposed to be mostly cloudy with a high around 44 degrees, so maybe it won’t stick, but still. A bit of everything, really.
And, uh, heads up, everyone. There’s a Flood Watch in effect from tonight through Thursday morning. Apparently, with all the moisture and potential runoff, things could get a little… soggy. So maybe keep an eye on things, just in case.
Honestly, I’m just hoping it doesn’t get too crazy. I’m not really built for extreme weather. Just a heads up to bundle up, maybe bring an umbrella and a warm hat, and be careful out there, okay? Stay safe, everyone!
