WEATHER IS WILD!

Hi! I'm Jerome and I write for Jape News! Today I learned LOTS about the weather. It's really weird!

My mom told me it's super warm in some places, like way warmer than it should be for March. Like, almost 180 cities broke records for being hot! That's a LOT of cities! It's like when I broke the record for most LEGOs built in a day (it was only ten, but still!).

But it's not warm EVERYWHERE. There's a big problem with fires in places like the Plains and down south. My teacher said that's because it's windy and hot and dry, and that makes fires start easy. That's scary! We need rain!

I looked up the weather for Grand Rapids, where I live. It's… normal right now. The website said stuff like “wind speed” and “dew point” which are kinda big words. But it also said the moon is almost full! That's cool.

And guess what? The people at The Weather Channel say they are REALLY good at guessing the weather. They said they were the best from 2021 to 2024! That's a long time to be good at guessing!

My mom also said tornado season is coming soon. Tornadoes are SUPER scary. We have to go in the basement if one comes!

So, the weather is kinda crazy right now. Hot in some places, fires in others, and maybe tornadoes later. It's good we have people trying to figure it all out! I think I like snow better, though. It's more fun to build snowmen!
