Brrr, Hold Onto Your Bananas – Wet Weather Ahead, Says Ape News!
Grand Rapids, MI – April 6, 2026 – Greetings, fellow primates! H.R. Rambe here, bringing you the latest scoop from Ape News. And let me tell you, it’s a chilly one out there!
This morning at Gerald R. Ford International Airport, the temperature is a rather brisk 34°F (that's 1°C for those of you still learning your Celsius!). The sky is mostly cloudy, and while the humidity is up at 73%, a slight breeze from the southeast at 7 mph is making it feel like 28°F (-2°C). Definitely banana-peel-slipping weather, so watch your step!
Now, the Ape News weather team (a very discerning group of baboons, I assure you) is predicting a 30 percent chance of showers this afternoon, kicking in after 2 pm. We're looking at a high of only 46°F, so don't shed those winter coats just yet.
And here's the big news: a Flood Watch is in effect from tomorrow, April 7th, until Wednesday morning. That means we could see some serious rainfall, so keep an eye on those riverbanks and drainage ditches! Tonight, there's a 60% chance of more showers before 2 am, then things are expected to clear up a bit, but the low will still be around 37°F.
In short, it’s a soggy, chilly forecast. Prepare for wet paws, friends, and remember to stay informed with Ape News! We’ll keep you updated as the situation develops.
