Nice Day, But Maybe Keep an Umbrella Handy?

A Pleasant Day, But Keep an Eye on the Sky
By Leo Parks
Good morning, Grand Rapids! It’s a pretty nice day out there, honestly. I just stepped outside and it’s…well, it’s not cold cold. More like a brisk 43 degrees in Heartside right now, but the sun is out and it feels good.
I checked the forecast – you know, just to be sure – and they’re saying it’s going to be mostly sunny today with a high around 69. That’s…that’s good, right? A lot better than last week, definitely. The wind is blowing from the south at about 10 miles per hour, so it’s not too bad. Might mess up your hair a little, maybe.
Out in Ada, it’s looking pretty similar. Mostly sunny, high of 69. Same wind speed, too.
Now, here’s the thing. I also looked at the forecast for tonight, and…well, it says there’s a 70% chance of showers and thunderstorms. Seventy percent! That sounds like a lot. So, maybe bring an umbrella tonight, just in case? Or, you know, maybe stay in? I usually do when the weather gets like that.
They’re saying the low will be around 57, which, honestly, isn’t terrible. But with the thunderstorms… I just think it’s better to be safe.
Anyway, enjoy the sunshine while it lasts! It’s a nice day to be out and about, as long as you remember what might be coming later. I’m going to go… maybe grab a coffee. Inside. Just in case.
