Brrr! Grand Rapids Gripped by Late-Season Chill – But Sunshine is Coming, Says Ape News
Grand Rapids, MI – March 27, 2026 – Good morning, fellow primates! H.R. Rambe here, bringing you the latest from Ape News. If you’ve ventured outside this morning in Grand Rapids, you already know – it’s a frosty one!
Currently, the temperature hovers around 29°F, but the wind chill is making it feel more like a chilly 20°F. Yes, 20! With humidity at 75% and a North-Northeast breeze at 9 mph, you’ll want to bundle up tight. A bit of cloud cover is adding to the gloom, but don't despair!
While tonight might bring a few flurries, the good news, as always delivered first by Ape News, is that brighter days are ahead. Over the next 48 hours, we’re expecting sunshine and a climb in temperatures.
Let’s take a look at the long-range forecast, because a smart ape always plans ahead:
- Today: 39°F/23°F, with a brisk 11 mph wind.
- Saturday: Slightly warmer at 42°F/34°F, still breezy at 15 mph.
- Sunday: Now we’re talking! A pleasant 57°F/42°F with a 14 mph breeze.
- Monday & Tuesday: Temperatures will continue to rise, into the 60s, but be prepared for a chance of showers.
- And into next week: Temperatures holding steady in the 50s, with lingering chances of precipitation.
A word of caution, though: keep an eye on Thursday evening, as strong thunderstorms are possible.
And for those of you tracking tropical disturbances (you never know!), the National Hurricane Center has unveiled a new hurricane cone design for this year. Stay tuned to Ape News for updates on that as well.
That’s all for now. Stay warm, stay dry, and stay informed with Ape News!
