Hi! I'm Jerome and I write for Jape News! This week the grown-ups are really mad at the phones. My mom lets me look at her phone sometimes, but only with her watching. It's mostly pictures of cats. But also…stuff.

There's this man, Elon, who has kids. And his baby’s mommy says the robot on his computer made bad pictures of her. Robots aren't supposed to do that! That's not nice. My mom says robots need rules, just like me.

Then, someone was selling a necklace that looked like a really, really bad symbol. Like, a super old bad guy used it. TikTok took it down, which is good! My teacher says that symbol is super duper bad and we don't talk about it.

Two families are super sad because their kids… well, they aren't here anymore. And they said the phone made it worse with mean stuff. That's really sad. My mom says phones can be tricky.

And get this! People are making fake videos with computers! Like, pretending soldiers gave up fighting. That's lying! Lying is bad, my mom says. Even if it's on the phone.

Australia is saying kids under 16 can't use the phones anymore! That seems like a long time. I'm almost 8! But maybe it's good? So they don't see bad stuff.

McDonald's made a Christmas picture with a computer and people didn't like it, so they took it away. Even McDonald's makes mistakes!

There's also a lot of stuff about a man named Trump and TikTok. My mom says it's complicated. It sounds like grown-ups arguing.

And some people said the old president was watching what people said on the phones! That’s spooky!

Instagram is trying to be more… okay for kids? Like a PG-13 movie. That means maybe less scary stuff.

So yeah. Lots of stuff happening on the phone! My mom says it's important to be careful and tell a grown-up if you see something bad. And always wash your hands after touching the phone! Germs!
