A Chill in the Air, But Hopeful Skies for Grand Rapids
Good morning, Grand Rapids! It’s…well, it’s definitely a bit chilly out there. I stepped outside just a few minutes ago and, honestly, I immediately regretted my jacket choice. It’s currently 30 degrees Fahrenheit, and the wind chill is making it feel even colder – around 21! The wind is coming from the East at about 10 miles per hour, which isn’t terrible, but it certainly cuts through you.
It’s overcast right now, which isn’t the most cheerful sight, but the good news is things are expected to improve. The forecast is calling for partly sunny skies today, with a high near 40 degrees. That sounds…pleasant, actually. Definitely an improvement!
We might get a little bit of snow tonight, though. Just a slight chance of snow showers, they say, before it clears up. Temperatures will drop down to around 24 degrees overnight, so be sure to bundle up if you're heading out early tomorrow.
Saturday is looking pretty good though – mostly sunny with a high near 42. So, maybe we can all finally put away those heavy winter coats? Though, you know, I probably won’t be the first. Just in case!
Overall, it seems like we're slowly but surely turning the corner towards spring. A little cold now, a little snow maybe later, but hopefully a lot more sunshine in the days to come. Stay warm, everyone! And maybe have a hot cocoa? That sounds nice.
