WIND IS TRYING TO STEAL MY HAT!

Brrr! It's Super Cold and Windy! By Jerome Skinly

Hi! I'm Jerome and I'm seven! Today the weather is REALLY cold. My mom told me it's 29 degrees! That's, like, REALLY REALLY cold. It's also super windy. When we went outside to get the mail, the wind almost blew my hat off! It was coming from the North-Northeast, which sounds like a pirate direction! And it was blowing, like, 25 to 35 miles an hour! That’s FAST!

We live in Chicago and it’s all cloudy. No sun today. The air feels kinda wet too. My mom said that's called humidity, and it’s 78! I don't know what that means exactly, but it feels chilly.

The Weather Channel says they are the BEST at telling the weather. They were good at it for a long time, even from 2021 to 2024! That's before I was even born!

My mom also told me a story about a big storm a LONG time ago. It was in 1859! She said it was a HUGE storm with the sun! It's called the Carrington Event. She said it was so big it messed up…stuff. I don’t really get it, but it sounded really powerful!

We also looked up the weather for Battle Creek, Michigan. It has a bunch of hours listed, but my mom just told me it was probably cold there too.

I hope it gets warmer soon so I can play outside without turning into an ice cube! I like the snow, but this is just…brrr!
