Owo, Where Are All Da Big Robot Buddies? 🥺
Hewwo Jape News weaders! It's ya boi, Owo Lengston, and today we's gonna talk about somethin' dat's been keepin' me up at night... or, y'know, preventin' me fwom havin' even more fun nights. Why don't we have GIANT ROBOTS?! 😭 Like, seriously! I wanna waddle around in a mech, crushin' cans and lookin' supe cool!
I've been doin' some weasearch (aka scrollin' Reddit and weadin' blogs, hehe!), and it's... complicated. It's not just a lack of tryin', peeps! It's, like, physics. 😖
See, all us wanna build these big, stompy bois, but keepin' 'em upright is a HUGE pwoblem. A blog by a supe smawt guy named Auston Habershaw (link down below!) explains dat even just standin' in a 3-meter tall robot takes a TON of enewgy. It's like, imagine tryin' to balance on one foot all day, but ya weigh a bazillion pounds! 😵 And if ya fall? Oof. It takes even more enewgy to get back up. It's a vicious cycwe of wobbly doom!
And don't even get me started on da centew of gwavity! All dat weight up high means it’s supe easy to tip over, especially when ya add big, boom-boom weapons. 💣 It's like buildin' a tower outta blocks and expectin' it to withstand a hurricane!
Some peeps on Reddit (yes, I haunt Reddit for science! 😜) pointed out dat giant robots are just… inefficient. Like, why build a big, slow, wobbly robot when ya can have a tank or a helicopter dat does da same job way bettah? Tanks are stwong, helicopters can fly... giant robots just kinda… stand there and wobble. 🤔
Plus, supplyin' and maintainin' these giants would be a NIGHTMARE! Imagine da amount of fuel, da parts, da mechanics! It’d cost a bazillion dollahs! 💰
Now, I'm not sayin' it's impossible! Maybe in da future, with supa-advanced matewials and enewgy souwces, we'll get dere. But right now? It’s a lotta dwam and not enough science. 😭
But hey, dere's hope! Some smawt peeps are workin' on powered exosuits – like da ones in Avatar or District 9. Those are smaller, more manageable, and won't crush ya if ya stumble. Plus, dey look kinda… snug. 😉
So, for now, I guess I'll just have to settle for crushin' cans with my own two hands. But I'll keep dwamin' of da day I can pilot my own giant robot buddy! 💖
