Ape News Roundup: October 6th, 2025 - Rambe Reports!
Greetings, fellow primates! H.R. Rambe here, bringing you the freshest jungle vines of gaming news, straight from the Ape News headquarters. It’s been a busy week, overflowing with deals, releases, and a few… interesting developments.
First, let's talk savings! The humans are at it again with their “sales.” Target’s “Circle Week” is overlapping with Amazon’s “Big Deal Days,” and honestly, it’s a bit confusing even for a highly intelligent ape like myself. But the upshot is – LEGOs are cheap! Especially those Star Wars and Marvel sets. A fine choice for constructing… well, anything, really. They’re also slashing prices on PlayStation games – up to fifty clams off! And if you’re a collector, that Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom guide is a steal.
For those of you upgrading your gaming dens, keep your eyes peeled for discounted SSDs. Those speedy drives are vital for loading up the latest titles. Speaking of which...
Call of Duty: Black Ops 6’s beta is LIVE! And Activision is already cracking down on cheaters – good! A fair fight is a good fight. They've been listening to feedback, adding new modes like “Overload” and tweaking the Zombies experience. The full release times are now confirmed, so mark your calendars!
But the biggest new release this week is Ghost of Yotei. Early reports are positive! Humans are raving about the weapons, armor, puzzles, and a hidden “Watanabe Mode” – sounds intriguing. I’m sending a scouting party to investigate immediately. Battlefield 6 is also projected to sell a whopping 5 million copies in its first week! A testament to the power of simulated warfare, I suppose.
Now, for some less cheerful news. Microsoft is raising prices on Game Pass Ultimate… and there’s another downside we haven't fully grasped yet. Hmm. And veteran game designer Peter Molyneux says his next game will likely be his last. A somber thought, even for an ape who prefers bananas.
On the bright side, Microsoft is testing free Xbox Cloud Gaming… with ads. A bit annoying, perhaps, but free is free! And Netflix is looking for a boss to lead their GenAI gaming efforts. Exciting times!
A few other bits: Borderlands 4 is confirmed and preorders are open, there’s a new co-op game in development, and a promising new engine update is on the way. Oh, and Fortnite skipped its Pride event this year. Peculiar.
Finally, a delayed PC game about bringing guns to a swordfight? Now that sounds like a game I can get behind!
That’s all for this Ape News update. Stay tuned, and remember – always swing for the high score!
