Hold the Phone! It's a Holiday Hurricane! - By Bronbus Quitley

Good morning, Jape News readers! Bronbus Quitley here, your guide to… well, everything! And boy, oh boy, is everything happening this week! Seriously, my calendar looks like a Jackson Pollock painting – splatters of dates and exclamation points everywhere! You could get lost in there, let me tell you. I almost did get lost in there. Had to send a search party of dust bunnies. True story.

Anyway! Holidays! That's what we're talking about, because apparently, remembering things is important. Who knew?

First off, today, March 31st, we’re shining a spotlight on the amazing folks celebrating International Transgender Day of Visibility! A fantastic day for recognition and, let’s be honest, fabulous outfits. And for all you Californians, Coloradans, New Mexicans, and Texans (and those in Michigan and Washington!), don't forget to tip your hat to César Chávez! Did you know he once wrestled a bear? No? I just made that up. But he was a very important guy, nonetheless.

Then, BAM! It’s April 1st. April Fool’s Day! Be careful out there, folks! I tried to convince my neighbor his prize-winning zucchini was actually a disguised cucumber last year. Didn’t go well. He’s still muttering about "zucchini justice." Plus, for our Jewish friends, it's the start of Passover Eve! Get ready for matzah, people, matzah everywhere. It’s a delicious… crispy… experience.

Hold on to your hats because April 2nd is a doozy! Maundy Thursday, the start of Passover (officially!), World Autism Awareness Day, and Pascua Florida Day in Florida. Florida! Always extra. You know, they say Florida is where oranges go to retire. It's true! I read it on the internet.

Next up, April 3rd brings us Good Friday. A state holiday in a bunch of places, so check if you get the day off! And if you don’t, well… pretend it’s a very long coffee break. I do. All the time.

April 4th? Holy Saturday and the International Day of Conscience. Now that's a combo! Thinking about getting a conscience myself, might be useful.

And then… Easter Sunday, April 5th! Bunnies, eggs, chocolate… what's not to love? I personally believe the Easter Bunny is a highly trained operative, delivering chocolate eggs with the precision of a Swiss watch. Don't look into it.

Finally, April 6th throws in International Day of Sport for Development and Peace, Easter Monday for those still celebrating, and National Tartan Day! Tartan! Plaid! Very stylish. Very… Scottish. I once tried to knit a kilt. It ended up looking like a very angry caterpillar.

Oh! And if you happen to be in Grand Rapids, Michigan, they have a ton of annual events happening! ArtPrize, Christkindl Markt, LaughFest... and the World of Winter Festival! Sounds chilly!

So there you have it, folks! A whirlwind tour of the week's events. Remember to be kind, be silly, and maybe double-check if that zucchini is really a cucumber.

Bronbus Quitley, signing off! And don't forget to tip your local dust bunny search party! They work hard!
