April's a Little Cold, Everyone Be Careful Out There

A Chilly Start to April, Grand Rapids

Good morning, Grand Rapids! It’s…well, it’s certainly April, but you wouldn’t know it stepping outside today. The temperature is currently 37 degrees, and it feels a little bit like we skipped right over spring and landed back in March.

There are some clouds hanging around, but it’s not terrible. Just…grey. I saw Mrs. Henderson walking her poodle, Winston, and he definitely had a little sweater on. Good for her, being prepared.

They’re saying we might get some snow showers tonight, which…wow. A 40% chance. That seems a little high, doesn't it? I hope it doesn’t actually happen. I just washed my car last week.

Tomorrow looks a little better, maybe getting up to 45 degrees. But with winds picking up from the West Northwest at 15 to 25 mph, and a chance of rain or wet snow, it’s still not exactly picnic weather.

Honestly, it’s just a bit blustery out there. It's probably best to just stay inside, maybe with a warm drink. And uh… everyone in the Southern Plains, be careful with those fire conditions! Sounds pretty serious. You can find more information on the National Weather Service website, I'll put a link at the end of this.

Stay warm, everyone! And uh…hopefully spring will actually get here soon.
