A Damp Start to the Weekend, Midwest on Alert – Ape News Report
Grand Rapids, Michigan – April 5, 2026 – Greetings, fellow primates! H.R. Rambe here, bringing you the latest weather update from Ape News.
It’s a grey start to the weekend for much of the nation. Here in Grand Rapids, we’re currently under cloudy skies with a chilly 38°F. Don’t expect much warmth, folks, as temperatures will only creep up to around 42°F this evening. And those of you planning any outdoor activities early next week, be warned – showers are predicted to begin Monday morning.
But Michigan isn’t alone in facing wet weather. The National Weather Service is reporting showers and thunderstorms stretching across the eastern third of the country. After the rain, a cooling trend is expected, so shed those summer coats and prepare for a bit of a chill.
Florida residents, take heed! A wet pattern is settling in, and alongside the rain, rip currents are expected to increase. Stay safe near the water, everyone.
And for our friends in Hawaii, the sunshine break is over. Rain is returning to the islands.
The biggest concern, however, appears to be brewing in the Midwest and Ohio Valley. The Weather Channel is highlighting a severe risk in those areas, so keep an eye on local forecasts and be prepared for potentially hazardous conditions.
That’s all for now from Ape News. Stay dry, stay warm, and stay informed!
