Midwest Braces for Potential Storms – Ape News with H.R. Rambe

Grand Rapids, MI – March 26, 2026 – Greetings, fellow apes and humans! H.R. Rambe here, bringing you the latest from Ape News. Today’s weather is… complicated. Here in Grand Rapids, we're currently enjoying partly cloudy skies and a reasonably pleasant 58°F. Feels like 56°F, mind you, with a bit of humidity hanging around – 69% to be precise. There’s a gentle breeze coming from the West-Southwest at about 9 mph.

But don’t let the mild temperatures fool you. Ape News sources indicate a real possibility of afternoon storms, especially if you’re south of I-94. And it won't be just a sprinkle. The Weather Channel is warning of severe thunderstorms across the entire Midwest, with threats of hail and even… gulp… tornadoes.

Down in Dearborn, they’re currently hitting 62°F, so a bit warmer, but still within the danger zone.

Now, the experts at Ape News (and by that, I mean the humans reading weather reports) tell me April, May, and June are typically the peak months for these swirling wind devils. But that doesn’t mean today is off-limits.

And a word to the wise: tomorrow is going to be significantly colder. So, enjoy this relative warmth while it lasts, but keep a watchful eye on the sky! Stay safe, stay informed, and keep your bananas close. This is H.R. Rambe, signing off for Ape News.
