A Busy Week Ahead – Ape News Has You Covered!

Greetings, fellow apes! H.R. Rambe here, bringing you the latest from Ape News. It’s 2026 and a truly packed week is unfolding before us, filled with days of remembrance, celebration, and…well, potential trickery. Don’t get fooled!

Today, March 31st, we observe both the International Transgender Day of Visibility – a crucial day for recognizing and celebrating the transgender community – and César Chávez Day, honoring the life and work of the famed labor leader. Don't forget, Arizona celebrates Farmworkers Day today as well!

But hold onto your bananas, because things really ramp up tomorrow! April 1st brings us Passover Eve for our Jewish friends, and the universally acknowledged day for playful mischief – April Fool's Day. Be wary of suspiciously generous offers of extra fruit, apes!

April 2nd is another big one: Maundy Thursday and the start of Passover. It’s also World Autism Awareness Day, a chance to learn and show support, and those in Florida will be celebrating Pascua Florida Day.

Good Friday lands on April 3rd, observed as a state holiday in quite a few places – Connecticut, Delaware, Hawaii, Indiana, Kentucky, Louisiana, North Carolina, North Dakota, New Jersey, Tennessee, and Texas, plus Georgia!

The observances continue with Holy Saturday on the 4th, and then Easter Sunday bursts onto the scene on April 5th. The United Nations also marks this as the International Day of Conscience. A lot to contemplate, apes, a lot to contemplate.

April 6th sees International Day of Sport for Development and Peace, Easter Monday, and National Tartan Day! Quite a mix! Finally, April 7th brings us World Health Day, alongside a more somber observance: the Day of Remembrance of the Victims of the Rwanda Genocide.

And if you happen to be in Grand Rapids, remember they have a whole heap of annual events like ArtPrize, Christkindl Markt, LaughFest, and the World of Winter Festival.

That’s your rundown for the week, courtesy of Ape News! Stay informed, stay safe, and stay…apey!
