WEATHER HYSTERIA GRIPS MICHIGAN—ARE WE LOSING COMMON SENSE?

Another Day, Another Weather Scare – When Will It End?
Grand Rapids, MI – Folks, I’m starting to think Mother Nature is just messing with us at this point. We had a relatively mild winter, and now, just as things are starting to look up, we’re getting bombarded with these… events. Today, it’s a threat of afternoon storms, and not just the garden-variety kind. We're talking possible hail, and even – and I shudder to say it – tornadoes.
Now, I’ve lived in this great state of Michigan my whole life, and I remember a time when a bit of rain didn’t send everyone running for cover. These days, the media just hypes everything up. A little wind, and suddenly it's a “dangerous situation.” Still, the reports are saying there’s a real possibility of severe weather, particularly south of I-94, so it’s best to be prepared.
Currently, it’s a balmy 53 degrees, though a damp 49 if you’re feeling it like I am. Humidity is up at 72%, and there’s a northeast wind blowing at 10 miles per hour. Not exactly ideal picnic weather, I’ll tell you that much.
But don't let the current mild conditions fool you. The experts are warning us that tomorrow is going to be cold. A high of just 39 degrees! 39! That’s practically January weather! And it’s only going to get chillier as the weekend goes on.
They say April, May, and June are the worst months for tornadoes. Frankly, I think that’s just asking for trouble. Seems like a lot of these “climate change” folks are conveniently forgetting that bad weather has always happened. We had tornadoes back in my day, and nobody needed a fancy computer model to tell us it was coming. Common sense used to be enough.
So, what should you do? Well, keep an eye on the sky, of course. Have a plan for your family, just in case. And maybe, just maybe, say a little prayer for some stability. It seems like we could all use it these days. Stay safe out there, folks. And remember, a strong work ethic and a bit of preparedness will get you through just about anything.
