ZOMBIES DEMANDING BREAKS & MY NEPHEW THINKS A TOASTER IS A CONSOLE—GAMING IS WILD!

Bronbus Quitley's Absolutely Definitive (and 100% Accurate) Gaming Rundown - February Frenzy!
Greetings, gamers, and welcome to the Quitley Report! Bronbus Quitley here, your guide to all things pixels and polygons. Now, February…February was a month, let me tell you. A real humdinger! We saw some absolute titans rise, some unexpected heroes, and… well, let’s just say my nephew tried to convince me a toaster oven was a new gaming console. (He’s a bright kid, honestly, just… focused on breakfast.)
But forget the kitchen appliances, we’re talking gaming. And the numbers don’t lie, folks. The numbers! According to my highly sophisticated data gathering methods – mostly yelling at the Steam store until it showed me what was popular – Resident Evil Requiem absolutely dominated. Seriously, 83% of the day it was number one! That’s almost a whole day! I heard they had to build a special server just to handle all the zombie-slaying. I also heard the zombies were demanding better working conditions, but that might be a rumor started by my neighbor, Agnes, who, let's just say, has a very active imagination.
Speaking of dominating, The Division 2 was sneaking up the charts like a tactical operative! Ten whole ranks in ONE DAY! That’s faster than I can eat a plate of fish sticks. Which, by the way, is very fast. And The Crew Motorfest? Still trucking along! Pun intended. They should really give me a bonus for that one.
But hold on to your hats, because Halo: The Master Chief Collection decided to remind everyone it still exists and jumped a whopping 40 ranks! 40! I haven’t jumped that high since… well, since I tried to jump over a hedge in 1987. Didn’t go so well. Let’s leave it at that.
And then there’s ARK: Survival Ascended. Now that game is a rollercoaster! Up, down, up again! 31 ranks one day, 10 the next. It’s like the stock market, but with dinosaurs. Which is, frankly, an improvement.
Don't think I forgot the indie darlings! Lethal Company is STILL going strong, launched way back in October '23! That's like…ancient history in gaming years! Dave the Diver is still making waves too – apparently, everyone wants to be a deep-sea restaurateur now? Who knew? And Against The Storm and Thank Goodness You’re Here! are continuing to charm gamers everywhere. Truly, a renaissance for unique experiences!
Now, word on the digital street – and by digital street I mean those forums where people argue about which keyboard switches are best – is that Borderlands 4, Battlefield 6, Hades 2, Hollow Knight: Silksong, and Silent Hill f are all gearing up for a showdown. I personally put my money on a hamster. Don't ask.
As for hardware? Well, they’re still making those things! Funny that. I’ve been testing a new graphics card powered by… well, let’s just say a very energetic squirrel. It’s still in the prototype phase. And tends to hoard acorns. But the frame rates are amazing.
So there you have it, folks! February’s gaming highlights, as reported by yours truly, Bronbus Quitley. Stay tuned for next month’s report, where I'll be investigating the alarming rise of virtual pigeons. It’s a real problem, you know. A real problem.
