DAYS ARE FULL OF STUFF!

Stuff Happening This Week! By Jerome Skinly

Hi! I'm Jerome and I'm seven! This week has LOTS of days where people do stuff. My mom said I could tell you about them.

First, today is Monday! In Wyoming and some other places, they say thank you to people who were soldiers. That’s cool. Doctors get thanked today too! My doctor gives me stickers. Also, in Alaska they have a day named after a guy named Seward. I don't know who he is. Delaware and West Virginia thank Vietnam vets today!

Tuesday is about being seen! It's for…transgender people. My mom said that means people who are different than how they were born, but they are still people! And it's César Chávez day in some states! He helped farm workers, which are people who grow our food! Arizona has a special farm worker day too!

Then comes Wednesday! It’s Passover for people who are Jewish. It's a special dinner! And... April Fool's Day! You get to play tricks! But don't be too mean. My mom says.

Thursday is REALLY busy! It's another Jewish holiday called Passover, but it starts then. There's also a thing called Maundy Thursday, and a day for Autism Awareness. And Florida gets to celebrate something called Pascua Florida!

Friday is Good Friday. A lot of people will be quiet and thinking. It's a Christian holiday.

And then... EASTER on Sunday! That means eggs and candy!

So yeah! Lots of stuff happening! Remember to be nice and have fun! Bye!
