Grand Rapids Weather Seems Cold, Please Be Careful

A Chilly Day in Grand Rapids

Good afternoon, folks. Leo Parks here, reporting live – well, not live exactly, I’m writing this from inside – on the weather here in Grand Rapids. And, uh, it’s definitely winter.

We’re having a bit of snow today, a light dusting really, and it’s pretty cold out there. The thermometer is reading around 21 degrees Fahrenheit, but with the wind, it feels like 10. Ten degrees! Brrr. I almost didn’t want to walk to the window to check, honestly.

The National Weather Service says we might get a few more snow showers before one o’clock, and then it’s supposed to be more consistently snowy after two. They’re estimating less than half an inch of accumulation, which… well, that's good, I guess? I mean, less shoveling is always a plus.

They’re predicting the high for today will be near 26 degrees, and tonight it’s supposed to stay around 23 with continued snow. So, if you have to be out and about, definitely bundle up. Hats, scarves, gloves – the whole nine yards. Maybe even a warm drink. I’m thinking hot chocolate.

Honestly, it's just a cozy day to stay inside, if you can. But, you know, stay safe if you do need to venture out. And maybe give your neighbors a hand with shoveling, if they need it. It’s the nice thing to do, right?

That’s all for now, folks. Stay warm!
