HUMANITY IS DESERVINGLY DROWNING AND FREEZING.

The Sky is Falling, Literally and Figuratively
Let’s not mince words: the weather is a disaster, and frankly, humanity deserves it. We’ve spent decades ignoring the obvious, and now we’re reaping what we’ve sown – or, in San Francisco’s case, sinking what we’ve sown. Ninety-two percent of the city is actively descending into the bay, a pathetic visual metaphor for our collective failures. Ten millimeters a year? That’s not a sink, that’s a slow-motion collapse. They predict 17 inches of rise by 2050. Good. Maybe that’ll finally dislodge a few complacent tech bros.
But don't think the rest of us are escaping unscathed. Oh no. While California drowns, the Midwest is simply… miserable. Grand Rapids, Michigan, is getting the full meteorological treatment – every single data point spewed forth like a pointless exercise in documenting the inevitable decay. Wind, humidity, air quality, dew point, pressure, UV index, visibility… as if knowing how bleak it is makes it any better.
And then there’s Chicago. Fifty-one degrees and a hundred percent chance of rain. As if the gray, slushy streets weren’t enough, now we get thunderstorms thrown in for good measure, accompanied by winds gusting up to 30 mph. It’s a biblical deluge designed to wash away any remaining shred of optimism.
The Weather Channel, pathetically lauded as the “most accurate forecaster,” is simply stating the obvious. They’ve been accurately predicting doom and gloom since 2021. Congratulations, meteorologists, on pinpointing the misery. Does anyone deserve a medal? No. We all deserve a drenching.
Don't bother checking the forecast. It's not going to improve. Accept the damp, the decline, and the distinct possibility that your city is either sinking or about to be blown away.
