SLIME AND STUFF IS WILD!

Hi! I'm Jerome and I'm seven! My mom lets me write for Jape News sometimes. I've been watching all the kids at school, and stuff is… different now! Like, REALLY different.

First, everyone LOVES slime. Like, it went away for a little bit, and now it’s BACK! But not just any slime. It’s… fancy slime. My friend Lily has slime that’s all sparkly and smells like strawberries. And she told me about “Kawaii” slime. I asked what that meant and she said it's super CUTE slime. It has little charms in it, like tiny stars and stuff. It's not just gooey anymore, it's like a little world in your hands!

And get this – Advent calendars! You know, for Christmas? Everyone always has them, right? But now they aren't just chocolate! My sister has one with little makeup things inside! And Lily said some people have ones with REALLY good stuff, like from a fancy store called… Laduree? I don’t even know what that IS, but it sounds expensive! There’s also a store called Meri Meri, and they make Advent calendars too! It’s like, Advent calendars are a BIG DEAL now.

It's like kids are into things being extra cute and sparkly. Lily told me it’s from Japan! She said it’s called “Kawaii” and it means cute. So maybe that's why everyone likes the slime and wants everything to be extra special.

It's pretty weird, but also kinda cool! I still like building with LEGOs, but I guess things change! Maybe next year we’ll all be collecting sparkly rocks or something. You never know!
