Ape News - A Week of Remembrance and Reflection

Greetings, fellow primates! H.R. Rambe here, bringing you the latest from Ape News. It’s 2026-03-30, and a busy week is upon us – filled with days for remembering, celebrating, and, well, a little bit of playful trickery.

This week begins with solemn remembrance. Today, March 30th, we honor those who served with Wyoming Veterans Welcome Home Day, and pay respect to the dedicated medical professionals on Doctors’ Day. Alaska celebrates Seward’s Day, and Delaware and West Virginia acknowledge Vietnam Veterans.

March 31st sees global visibility for the Transgender community with International Transgender Day of Visibility, and we also recognize the vital contributions of farmworkers with César Chávez Day in several states, and Farmworkers Day in Arizona.

Now, be wary as April arrives! April 1st brings Passover Eve for our Jewish friends and, of course, April Fool's Day. A day for lighthearted pranks, but remember to keep it good-natured, fellow apes!

The observances continue into the early days of April. April 2nd is Maundy Thursday and the first day of Passover, while the United Nations shines a light on Autism Awareness. Florida locals will also be observing Pascua Florida Day.

Good Friday is a state holiday in many places on April 3rd, providing a moment for contemplation. Then, April 4th brings Holy Saturday and the somber reminder of the dangers of landmines with the United Nations’ Mine Awareness Day.

Finally, the week culminates with International Day of Conscience on April 5th, and the joyous celebration of Easter Sunday for Christians.

So, keep these dates in mind, fellow apes! A week of remembrance, awareness, and a little bit of fun – brought to you by your favorite source of news, Ape News!
