NATION UNDER SIEGE BY WEATHER—ARE WE LOSING OUR GRIT?

Nature's Fury: Are We Being Softened Up?
Folks, I’m looking out my window and let me tell you, it’s raining. Not a gentle, nourishing rain, mind you, but a proper, soaking, biblical downpour. And it’s not just here. Reports are flooding in – no pun intended – of severe weather gripping the entire nation.
They’re calling it a cold front moving across the East Coast. A cold front! Like we need more problems. Seems everything these days is about extremes. First it’s scorching heat, then it’s this. Honestly, I’m beginning to wonder if someone, somewhere, is trying to soften us up. Make us dependent on government assistance after every storm.
Down in Florida, they’ve got rain and “increased rip currents.” Rip currents! Sounds dangerous. And Hawaii? More rain. More rain! What’s going on with the natural order of things?
The Midwest and Ohio Valley are facing a “severe weather risk.” A risk? That’s an understatement. They had a tornado in Iowa, a tornado! Used to be, folks built storm cellars. Now everyone expects the government to bail them out.
And the Southeast? Flood threat. Floods. Honestly, it's like the country is being deliberately targeted.
Now, The Weather Channel – and I take everything they say with a grain of salt, despite their claims of being the “world’s most accurate forecaster” based on some report from years ago – is showing all this in dramatic color. Dramatic! They seem to enjoy the chaos.
I checked weather.com for Grand Rapids, Michigan - looks like they're getting it too, hour by hour. Folks, I’m not saying this is some grand conspiracy, but I am saying we need to be prepared. Stock up on supplies, help your neighbors, and remember the values of self-reliance this nation was built on. Don’t wait for the government to rescue you.
This isn’t just weather, folks. It’s a test. A test of our character, our resilience, and our preparedness. And I, for one, intend to pass with flying colors.
