TUBAS ARE HUGE AND MAKE CAR NOISES!

Hi! I'm Jerome and I learned about tubas! They are BIG! Like, REALLY big and shiny. My teacher, Ms. Periwinkle, let me look at one and it was almost as tall as me!

But it's not just BIG, it's FUN! You can do lots of stuff with a tuba. Not just play music, even though you CAN play music. You can play ALL kinds of music! Like, even jazz! And pop songs! Ms. Periwinkle said they usually play the bottom part, but they can play other parts too.

But get this – you can make sounds with it! Like a didgeridoo! I don't know what that is exactly, but it sounds cool. And you can make a “vroom” sound like a car! Or even… beatbox! With a tuba! That’s silly.

Some tubas are special. They can turn into… marching band tubas! You put a thing on it and then you can carry it on your shoulder while you walk and play! That looks hard.

Ms. Periwinkle said people write special songs just for the tuba! Like, just for ONE instrument! That's like writing a story just about my pet hamster, Squeaky.

So yeah, tubas are way more than just big shiny things. They are FUN! I want to learn to play one now. Maybe Squeaky can listen.
