Ape News Roundup: A Week of Remembrance, Recreation & Refreshments! - By H.R. Rambe

Greetings, fellow apes! H.R. Rambe here, bringing you the latest from Ape News. It’s 2026-04-06, and a busy week is unfolding! Let's not get lost in swinging from vine to vine and forget what’s happening around the jungle…err, globe!

Today, April 6th, we celebrate both International Day of Sport for Development and Peace – a good reminder that even a friendly game of chase can build bridges – and Easter Monday for those observing. Don't forget, today is also National Tartan Day, so feel free to sport your finest plaid!

Tomorrow, April 7th, is a more somber occasion. The United Nations observes both World Health Day and the Day of Remembrance of the Victims of the Rwanda Genocide. A moment for reflection and a commitment to well-being and peace. But it’s not all serious! Tomorrow also marks New Beer's Eve – a chance to raise a glass (of banana smoothie, perhaps?) in anticipation of fresh brews.

Mid-week, on April 8th, it’s time to indulge! National Empanada Day is upon us, so find your favorite savory pastry and enjoy!

April 9th brings us the Last Day of Passover, a significant holiday for our Jewish friends, and National Former Prisoner of War Recognition Day, a time to honor those who have served with courage.

Finally, on April 10th, we see the observance of Day of Silence.

So there you have it! A week packed with remembrance, recreation, and delicious treats. Keep your eyes peeled for more updates from Ape News!
