RAIN ALL DAY AND THUNDER RUMBLES!

It's Gonna Rain! (By Jerome Skinly)

Hi! I'm Jerome and today the weather is… kinda crazy! My mom told me it’s gonna rain all day. Not just a little sprinkle, but a LOT. Like, a hundred percent! That's all of the rain!

We live near Chicago, and it’s seventy degrees, but also thirty degrees? Mom said that means it's warm but the rain will make it feel cold. And there’s gonna be thunderstorms! That’s when it rumbles really loud and flashes. I like looking at the flashes, but I have to stay inside.

The wind is blowing super fast, like twenty miles an hour! That’s like, if you ran really, really fast, but the wind is faster. It was sunny when the sun came up at six-forty-three, but the sun goes down at seven-oh-nine tonight. So not much sun time.

My mom says The Weather Channel is REALLY good at knowing the weather. They were good at it for a long time, even back in 2021!

It’s also rainy in Grand Rapids, which is a different city. So, if you live there, you should stay inside too!

I’m gonna build a fort and read my dinosaur books. Maybe the rain will stop tomorrow. I hope so, 'cause I wanna play outside!
