Greetings, fellow primates! H.R. Rambe here, bringing you the latest on the swirling, splashing, and sometimes freezing weather currently impacting our great state. Ape News has been diligently tracking conditions, and it's a bit of a mixed bag out there, I tell you what.

The National Weather Service reports a series of back-to-back winter storms are currently impacting the North-Central U.S. While we aren’t seeing snow right now, that’s a reminder that Mother Nature can be fickle. They updated their maps this morning, around 7:12 am EDT, so you know the information is fresh!

Here in Battle Creek, things are currently overcast with a muggy 62°F (17°C). The wind is whipping from the southwest at 13 mph, and humidity is up at a whopping 93%! Tonight, expect more of the same, with a good chance of showers – and even a possible thunderstorm after 11 pm.

If you’re up in Grand Rapids, specifically Heartside, you’ll find mostly cloudy skies and a high near 60°F. There’s a 30% chance of a shower, and winds will be blowing from the southeast at 10 to 20 mph.

The Midwest is facing a severe weather threat in general, so stay tuned to Ape News for updates. We’ll be keeping a close watch on these systems and bringing you the information you need to stay safe and dry. Remember to check those banana stores, folks! You never know when a storm might keep you indoors.
