GAMES ARE FOR EVERYONE NOW!!! + SPARKLIES!

Hi! I'm Jerome and I like video games A LOT. My big brother, Leo, told me some stuff about what’s happening with games right now and it’s kinda crazy. It's not just about playing games anymore!

Leo says more and more people are playing. Even grown-ups! Almost half of all gamers are girls now, and lots of people over 35 play too. That's like… my mom's age! She plays on her phone sometimes.

And you don't even NEED a super fancy computer to play some games! You can play on, like, the cloud! It’s like watching a show but you get to control it. Leo said it’s good ‘cause you don’t need to buy a new game box all the time.

But the coolest part is how people are playing together. Leo spends HOURS talking to his friends on something called Discord while they play. He says he knows them BETTER than some kids at school! It’s like, games are where they hang out now. Not just the park.

And everyone wants to be good at games. There’s stuff you can BUY to help! Like, drinks that are supposed to make you think faster (Leo drinks a blue one called “Ninja Mode”!) and even little sleeves for your fingers to make you press buttons better. It's like being a super gamer!

Also, EVERYTHING has to be sparkly now. Like, Leo’s computer has lights! Lots and lots of lights. He showed me pictures on TikTok and they change colors! It's called RGB, and he says it makes his computer look awesome. He's always getting new sparkly fans and speakers. They are getting super popular!

He even changes his VOICE when he plays sometimes! He uses a thing that makes him sound like a robot or a girl. It’s kinda weird, but he says it’s fun to be different people online.

Leo is really into games where you play WITH other people and it's like a story. He said those are getting more popular too! He likes making choices with his friends and seeing what happens.

It's all just really cool and I wish I could play more! Maybe when I'm bigger. But Leo says games are getting better and better all the time, so I'm excited!
