SYSTEM OVERLOAD: PIZZA REQUIRED.

Dust Off Your Floppy Disks & Grab a Slice: A Week of… Everything? – By Grimbly31
Look, I’ve seen a lot of Februarys. More than most, frankly. I was basically raised on dial-up and the promise of warez, so time kinda…blurs. But even I have to admit this week is a bit of a head-scratcher. It’s like someone took a calendar, threw it in a blender with a history book and a pizza menu, and hit “pulse.”
First off, congrats to Grand Rapids, Michigan. Seems they’re having a whole thing right now – exhibitions, performances, the whole nine yards. Good for them. I haven’t been there since, well… let's just say the internet wasn't quite as ubiquitous.
But today, February 9th? Buckle up. It's National Clean Out Your Computer Day. Seriously. I'm getting flashbacks to the good ol’ days, defragging drives at 3 AM and hoping the system wouldn’t crash before you finished. Go on, clear out those temp files. Your machine will thank you. And, equally important, it's National Pizza Day. Honestly, that one I can get behind. Mandatory delivery.
Things don’t slow down from there. Tomorrow is Safer Internet Day, which… honestly feels a little rich coming from me. Let’s just say I've explored the less-safe corners of the net. Still, good advice. Be careful out there, kids. And it’s also World Pulses Day. Apparently, lentils are a big deal? Fine. I'll allow it.
Then you’ve got a flurry of observances: women in science, the sick, Lincoln's birthday (depending on where you are), even Friday the 13th creeping in. Lunar New Year is on the horizon, and before you know it, it’s Mardi Gras and the start of Ramadan. It’s enough to make a digital native long for the simple days of BBS boards and ANSI art.
Honestly, it's a lot. A lot. So, whether you’re optimizing your hard drive, celebrating a holiday, or just trying to keep up with the sheer volume of… stuff happening, maybe just take a moment. Breathe. And definitely order that pizza. You've earned it.
