SPORTS IS WILD!

Stuff Happened in Sports! By Jerome Skinly

Hi! I'm Jerome and I write for Jape News! Lots of stuff happened in sports lately, so I'm gonna tell you about it. It's kinda hard to keep up with everything but I tried my best!

First, soccer! (That's football to some people, it's confusing!) There's this tiny little country called San Marino, and they’re actually winning games! That’s like, if my school won against a BIG school. Cool! And there's a new soccer team made up of girls who had to leave their homes, which is sad but they’re playing now, which is good. Liverpool, a team from England, is having a hard time. My mom said they need to try harder.

Then there's American football! Aaron Rodgers got hurt. That's bad because he's a good player. And some football players might be in trouble for, like, betting on games. My dad says that's not okay. There was also a player in South Carolina who had a fight with a police officer. That sounds like a lot of trouble.

Basketball is also kinda crazy! Some players are being looked at because of gambling too! It's like everyone is betting on stuff. The Dallas Mavericks got a new boss guy. And the NBA likes showing games in China, which is far away.

But it's not JUST football and basketball! Someone named Valentin won a tennis game in China, and so did a girl named Amanda! There's this fight between tennis players, it's like when me and my brother fight over LEGOs. Italy is getting really good at tennis too! And Aryna Sabalenka won a REALLY big tennis game, the US Open!

Other stuff happened too! In golf, Tiger Woods is still playing! And the President's granddaughter got to play in a golf game! Someone ran a REALLY long race AND biked a REALLY long race on the same day! That's WAY more than running around the playground!

There was a man who jumps really far, but nobody has jumped farther in a long time. And a man who rides horses isn't feeling so good. And someone really old, like, NINETY-TWO years old, is still running! That's older than my grandma!

So yeah, that's what happened in sports! It's a lot to remember, but it's fun to watch! Maybe I'll be a sports reporter when I grow up! Bye!
