Dusting Off the Calendar: A Week of… Everything.

Look, I’m Grimbly31, okay? I’ve seen a lot of calendars. Back in the day, calendars were physical things, paper mostly. Now? It's just… data streams. Anyway, point is, I’m kinda good at remembering weird stuff, and this week is packed with weird stuff.

Honestly, NationalToday.com and those calendar sites are useful, even for a guy like me who remembers when the internet was all blinking text and ANSI art. They've got a lot of…enthusiasm. But sometimes you just need a rundown, a quick skim of the noise. So, here we go.

Today, April 27th, we're kicking things off with a genuine avalanche of observances. Seriously, buckle up. We’ve got everything from Autism Super Mom Day (respect) to National Prime Rib Day (yes, please). There’s even a Day of Uprising Against Occupation – historically interesting, if a bit broad. And if you’re a cat person, today is Free Feral Cat Spay Day, so maybe contribute if you can. It’s also Koningsdag, which I’m told involves a lot of orange. Sierra Leone and Togo are celebrating independence days, and honestly, good for them. Plus, Morse Code Day! Remember those beeps? Good times.

Tomorrow, April 28th, is a little calmer. National Blueberry Pie Day and Kiss Your Mate Day. A solid combo. National Franklin Day too, which… I’m still researching.

Then, on April 29th, it’s International Dance Day and International Guide Dog Day. Support those pups, seriously. They're good units.

April 30th? International Jazz Day. Put on some Miles Davis, you won’t regret it.

May 1st brings May Day, which is… complicated. Historically, it’s a big deal. Also, Vesak. Plenty of different traditions converging there.

And finally, May 2nd… Free Comic Book Day! Now that’s a holiday I can get behind. It's the closest modern equivalent of getting free demo floppies in the mail, and that, my friends, is a beautiful thing.

So yeah. A busy week. A gloriously, beautifully, bafflingly busy week. Go forth and observe… or don't. Honestly, the internet is full of options. Just, you know, maybe have some pie. And support the cats.
