A Gentle Reminder: July’s Here, and So Are a Few Special Dates!
Hello Jape News readers! It’s Leo Parks here, and things are moving along nicely, aren’t they? Just a quick note to keep everyone in the loop about what's happening this week – a few noteworthy dates and observances that might be of interest. We want to be sure everyone feels informed and included, of course.
First off, it's July! Hard to believe how quickly time flies. And with a new month comes a handful of…well, events. Let's just say, a variety of things are being recognized.
You might have heard about Canada Day, which was on July 1st. It’s a big deal for our neighbors to the north, celebrating their nationhood. We're all very supportive of their celebrations!
Then we have a few dates that are really quite… unique. July 2nd is World UFO Day – quite fascinating, isn’t it? It’s a day for those interested in, shall we say, unexplained phenomena. It’s… something, certainly.
Later in the week, July 11th brings us National Kissing Day and National Ice Cream Day! A lovely combination, wouldn't you agree? Just a bit of sweetness for everyone.
And, as always, there are significant religious and cultural observances happening. July 12th marks the beginning of Eid al-Adha – a very important holiday for many. There's also Trinity Sunday, which was on July 6th, recognizing a really important theological concept.
It's worth noting that we've also been seeing recognition of dates from June and August! Juneteenth, which fell in June, remains relevant as we continue to acknowledge its importance. And keep an eye out for Obama Day on August 2nd and Women's Equality Day on August 4th - dates that are certainly worth remembering.
This isn't an exhaustive list, naturally – there are many, many dates being observed. But hopefully, this gives you a general overview of what's happening in July. Have a pleasant week, everyone, and be kind to one another!
