NINJAS ARE BACK AND FRIENDS ARE COOLER!

Hi! I’m Jerome and I like video games a LOT. My big brother told me things are changing with games, so I’m gonna tell you about it.

So, remember how everyone liked go-kart racing? Like with Mario? Well, it went away for a little bit, but NOW it's back! There’s a new Mario Kart game and even Sonic has one! My brother says it’s like when your favorite toy gets lost and then you find it again. That's good!

And NINJAS! There are SO MANY ninja games now! Like, a LOT. Ninja Gaiden is one, and Assassin’s Creed has ninjas too! It’s like…everyone remembered ninjas are cool. They sneak around and do flips and stuff. I wanna be a ninja!

My brother also told me people are being nicer online. Like, playing together instead of yelling. There’s a game called Split Fiction where you help your friends. And Lego Voyagers! You build stuff with your friends in the game! He says it's called “friendslop” when it’s a small game for you and your bestest friends. That sounds funner than yelling.

Some games look…old? But in a good way! Like the games my dad used to play. They don’t have super fancy pictures, but they are still fun. It’s like when you play with wooden blocks instead of a robot. Both are good!

But here's a thing that's kinda weird. My brother says some people are making games with…robots? Not robots in the game, but robots making the game. And some people don't like that! They want real people to make the games. That makes sense, because real people are better at drawing and stuff.

And…sad news. Big games, the really, REALLY fancy ones, are having trouble. My brother says they cost too much money to make and not enough people are buying them. So, some people are losing their jobs. That's not good. But it means smaller games, the ones made by less people, are getting more popular! Maybe that's good too.

So, games are changing! More ninjas, more friends, and…less robots making the games? It’s a lot to remember, but it sounds like games are gonna be fun for a long time!
