Michigan Sun Shines On True American Values

A Fine Day for Freedom (and a Light Jacket)
Grand Rapids woke up today to a sight most Americans remember fondly: sunshine! Not that blazing, oppressive heat we’ve been warned about by those climate alarmists, mind you, but a pleasant sun. A good, honest sun. The kind of sun that lets you appreciate the fruits of your labor, the beauty of this great nation, and maybe even get a bit of yard work done.
The temperature’s pushing 60, a perfectly respectable number for late March. A bit breezy, they say – a southwest wind whipping through at 9 to 13 miles per hour, with gusts up to 23. Now, some folks might see that as “windy.” I see it as a testament to the power of nature, a reminder that America isn't some delicate flower needing to be shielded. It's a strong land, and we are a strong people!
Now, don't go shedding those layers completely. The weathermen – and I use that term loosely – are predicting clouds rolling in tonight, with a dip down to around 47 degrees. A light jacket will do the trick, folks. No need to go running for the heating oil just yet.
It’s good, solid weather. The kind of weather that builds character. The kind of weather that reminds you that despite all the chaos in the world, some things – like a partly sunny day in Michigan – are still right and good. Get out there and enjoy it, folks. And remember to thank the good Lord for this beautiful country.
